A Wee Teacup Fairy - Tuesday Treasure #1

 Fairy in a china cup 
 
 This is the Wee Fairy I created using the broken china cup and a beaded flower from Tuesday's treasure hunt, read here .  I used a little girl from Paperwhimsy, added butterfly wings, and  tucked her into a birds nest which I glued into the cup, a snippet of lace, and shredded antique paper feather the nest.

It's Tuesday, So I Must Be Junking There is a very small, tiny really, flea market held in my town every Tuesday. It's not the kind of event that you will ever find fine linens or antiques, however, it is often the source of plenty of good junque, small trinkets and treasures probably bound for the trash if they don't find a home today. There's No Place Like Home - Tuesday Treasures #2 Dorothy said it best, there's no place like home. These vintage, dirty, and doll-less shoes needed to elevated to greatness, and what could be better than magically transforming them into a pair of ruby red slippers, and using them as the star of this little collage piece? Martha Stewart tinsel glitter in red did the trick. A sample of 1950s kitchen wallpaper, vintage floral trim, rub-on letters, stamps and ink, and armature wire (this was wrapped around the glass bottle) were all I needed to tell this story.
